More Stories Huey Tells
for ages 6 to 10
Huey has a hard time being little brother to Julian. Julian is bigger and bolder and more confident, and he likes to push Huey around. But Huey is smart, with a mind of his own.
When Julian won't let Huey use his brand-new basketball, Huey figures out how to make Julian share it. When Huey thinks flowers he planted are sick, he's ready to take Julian's radio, and a whole lot of other stuff, to cure them. When he realizes their dad's smoking is bad for his health, he teams up with Julian to try to persuade their dad to stop. And when Huey and Julian get together with friends to look for buried treasure, Huey's willing to be the one to go down to the bottom of a mine they've dug. Maybe too willing--because the mine starts crumbling, and smart as Huey is, he can't figure any way to get out.
